For more comfortable feeding for your baby, our mothercare bottles feature a special tube and valve system that helps reduce the amount of air swallowed by your little one
Before first use place in boiling water for 5 minutes, this is to ensure hygiene. For hygiene reasons we recommend you change the teat every 3 months and bottles every 6 months. Heating in a microwave oven may produce localised high temperatures. Always stir heated food and check the temperature before serving. Always make up feeds following the formula milk manufacturers instructions. Wash thoroughly before first and each use. Take extra care when cleaning the valve on the teat to ensure it is not damaged. To ensure the correct operation make sure that all residue is cleaned from the valve and it is rinsed with warm water. Wash the product thoroughly in hot, soapy water or in the top rack of a dishwasher. Dishwasher safe (max 65 degrees C) food colours in the dishwasher may discolour the product. Do not allow to come into contact with solvents or harsh chemicals, this could damage the product. Wash your hands and ensure work surfaces are clean before contact with sterilised components. Do not store or leave in dorect sunlight or near a source of heat, or leave in sterilising solution for longer than recommended, as this could damage the product. To avoid burns allow freshly boiled water to cool slightly before preparing the feeds. The water should be no less than 70 degrees c or used within 30 minutes of boiling.
Always use this product with adult supervision. Never use feeding teats as a soother. Always check food temperature before feeding. Accidents have occurred when babies have been left alone with drinking equipment due to the baby falling or if the product has disassembled. Tooth decay in young children can occur even when non - sweetened fluids are used. This can occur if the baby is allowed to use the bottle / cup for long periods through the day and particularly through the night, when saliva flow is reduced or if it is used as a soother. Inspect before each use and pull the feeding teat in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Do not leave a feeding teat in direct sunlight or heat, or leave in disinfectant or sterilising solution for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the teat.
